I’ve had this blog for just over two years now and It’s been so wonderful to have my own little corner of the internet to blab on about whatever it is that I’m wearing or show you wherever it is that I’ve been. I loved it, until suddenly I didn’t.
I don’t know why exactly I fell out of love with blogging. I think I felt like I hit a wall creatively, like I wasn’t doing anything different to stand out. It’s currently Fashion Week in Sydney and so here I am, standing around all these impeccably dressed, interesting people and suddenly it’s back. The excitement and love for this atmosphere, and the reason why I started doing this in the first place.
I’m here to say sorry not only to those lovely people who told me they missed my posts, but also to myself for momentarily giving up. For some reason I shy’d away and stopped believing that I had the ability to do something different with my little space.
So I’m back. And I’m going to do it right this time.

There’s nothing I love more than fresh flowers to welcome Spring back into my life, and after receiving this beautiful bunch from a very special someone, I felt inspired to share a few of my other favourite things from the Spring season so far.
Starting with these very pink sunglasses from Zero UV. After a long winter of hibernating and exclusively wearing black, it always takes me a little while to re-introduce colour again. These fun sunnies were the perfect transitional accessory to let the brights come back into my wardrobe.
This very jewelled necklace always helps to step up a simple outfit, pair it with a plain white T-shirt and suddenly your casual outfit is ready for Friday night drinks.
Some other items that made my Spring favourites list were these two creamy lipsticks from Sephora. They not only smell like candy but they also moisturise as much as a lip balm whilst providing a subtle colour. These vanilla scented tealights which instantly make any room feel more cosy, this Flora bra from Lonely Hearts and of course, this new Chanel bag that has barely left my side since it was bought on a recent trip to Rome.
What’s making your favourites list this Spring?
Today I bring you a short little post featuring this extremely warm, down jacket from Style Nanda.
Every single time I wear this coat I receive so many comments. Most of which sound something along the lines of – “Oh my gosh, you are so puffy!” or “That is the biggest jacket I’ve ever seen.”
Yes it’s true that when I wear this jacket I feel exceptionally puffy, but I also feel delightfully snug!
WHAT I’M WEARING:
Coat – StyleNanda
Jumper – Zara
Jeans – Rollas
Boots – The Iconic
Until next time,
Todays outfit features this Maurie and Eve sequin jumper that I bought at Sydney Fashion Weekend back in May.
You know when you see a garment from across the room and you do that determined half run to grab it before anyone else? Well this amazing jumper had that effect on me. I love that the sequins are velvet on one side, creating this luscious, matte effect, and the slick and shiny reverse side catches any light, taking this cropped jumper from casual to glamorous.
I paired this with black jeans and some patent leather heels for a sophisticated night look that is comfortable and warm for this chilly winter.
WHAT I’M WEARING:
Jumper – Maurie and Eve
Jeans – Rollas
Shoes – Marco Gianni
Recently I was contacted by Boohoo, who asked myself and some other lovely fashion bloggers to give their favourite tips and tricks for achieving the perfect OOTD photo.
Have a look at the finish product below!
I felt absolutely honoured to be a part of this infographic so I’d like to say a huge thank you to Boohoo for allowing me to pass on my tips!
This week I was lucky enough to receive some pieces from Riders by Lee, the edgy, younger sibling of Lee Jeans.
Today is the day that their new 90’s inspired, ‘Avant Grunge’ collection hits stores and I am so excited to celebrate with them by bringing back styles from my favourite era of fashion!
The Winter ’14 collection celebrates the best of 90’s grunge with luscious, groupie inspired fur vests and coats, skinny denims in a gritty colour palette of biker blacks, stonewash greys and inky blue, and basics to compliment it all.
WHAT I’M WEARING:
Jeans – Riders by Lee, Bumster Vegas in Blizzard Wash $109.95
Vest – Riders by Lee, Groupie Vest in Arctic Fox $89.95
Tshirt – Nude Lucy $40
Shoes – Asos, Halfpenny heeled sandals $81
Clutch – StyleNanda $40
Now if you just have to have a piece (or 5) of the Riders by Lee Winter ’14 collection, it is now available from Myer, Just Jeans and online at the Iconic and Surf Stitch. Garments range from just $39.95 for basics and up to $119.95 for jeans and jackets. I know for sure that my groupie vest will be keeping me warm all winter, so get with it and come back to the 90’s with me!
So the past few weeks I have been kept on my toes (quite literally in my attempt to be taller) as I was fortunate enough to be chosen as a dancer/model in the N.L.P Women runway show for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia!
Now normally a 5 ft 6 girl like myself would never be able to walk a runway in fashion week, but N.L.P being super bold and innovative, decided to use dancers instead of models to showcase the sporty and practical side to their glamorous swimwear.
Here are a few snaps from the show!
You can see the full show HERE
The response was absolutely amazing and N.L.P’s decision to use dancers proved to be a huge success!
A special thanks to:
and of course, a huge thank you to N.L.P !!!
You can shop the collection straight off the runway on STYLERUNNER.
